Brief
Client wanted an essentially simple presence re the lighting, but still needed flexibility for different room uses.

Solution
We decided cool undertones and contrast would be best suited for this area. The room was quite high (6m), so we decided to use a staggered pendant and intense pencil beams to lift and ‘elevate ‘ the colour from the rug and coffee table in the centre of the room. To bring some warmth and contrast to the periphery, we incorporated ‘micro’ spots to light artwork carefully placed around the room. Finally, an integrated pelmet uplight was used for ultra efficient ambient lighting effect. Unusually for high frequency lighting, this is dimmable, and produces 5 x light output when compared to conventional lighting, so is not only flexible, but very eco-friendly, with stupendous lamp life..
